JetBlue Airways is adding a new daytime flight from New York to London starting in March, giving its customers an option to avoid jetlag while traveling transatlantic.
Starting on March 25, JetBlue will fly from New York JFK to London Heathrow at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at 8:45 p.m. It will return from London at 8:25 a.m., arriving at JFK at 11:40 a.m.
At the same time, JetBlue is dropping one of its two daily flights between JFK and London Gatwick, the third busiest airport in the U.K. behind Heathrow and London Stansted. That means JetBlue will still offer five daily flights between its Northeast hubs (JFK and Boston Logan) and London airports but will continue to focus its offerings at Heathrow, likely because of an opportunity to add a slot at the airport.
JetBlue has long been focused on bolstering its international schedule.
Aside from its London schedule, which it has been in the works since pre-pandemic, the carrier also recently announced new service between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and New York JFK that is expected to kick off this summer.
JetBlue also said it plans to later add nonstop service between Boston Logan International and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
