Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort in the Dominican Republic is officially open. The adults-only resort is officially the first luxury all-inclusive resort for Marriott International and the Luxury Collection.
The resort was shut following the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona in September 2022 just as it joined the collection. It now reopens, finally a part of the Luxury Collection, following a four-month renovation.
Outside of the fixes from Hurricane Fiona, the four-month renovation also included the addition of a brand-new restaurant, beach bar, nightclub, and hotel library.
The restaurant, La Yola Snack Grill, designed in the shape of a canoe, offers light bites and cocktails poolside. That joins a slate of other restaurants on-site, including 4 a la carte restaurants—one serving seafood, another Asian, a signature Italian restaurant, and a steakhouse—a Spanish Tavern and the casual Sanctuary Town right across from the property’s main lobby.
The property, located 15 minutes from Punta Cana International, offers 324 suites including oceanfront villas and private island suites with their own private pools. The top offering, the two-bedroom Castle Island Suite, comes in at 5,500 sq. ft. spread over two levels on a private island with its own living room, dining room, and three indoor plunge pools.
