Viva Wyndham V Heavens, which is located in the Playa Dorada complex of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, will no longer be an adults-only all-inclusive.
Starting tomorrow, the resort will be re-imagined as an all-ages resort. Wyndham, which opened the resort seven years ago, said it was making the change because of increasing demand for all-ages, all-inclusive resorts.
“After seven years, and given the feedback we’ve received from guests hoping for a more all-inclusive experience, we decided it was time for a change,” said Amanda Santana, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Viva Wyndham Resorts. “We are delighted to welcome adults and children alike and help them enjoy a beautiful getaway!”
The resort offers 190 rooms spread across suite categories—starting this week, it will also offer new “All Together Suites,” designed for families with up to five members. It will also add a new Kid’s club and family-orientated entertainment.
It also offers five different dining venues, including all-inclusive à la carte dining and a main buffet restaurant, along with a disco, pool bar and beach snack bar, new coffee shop, sports fun, day and nighttime activities, and more.
Viva Wyndham V Heavens is accessible from both Gregorio Luperon International Airport (POP) and Cibao International Airport (STI).
