Just as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opens, Raffles and Fairmont have opened their newest, dual-branded hotel in Doha.
The Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha is officially opened within Doha’s Katara Towers, welcoming their first guests during the FIFA World Cup. The property adds 132 ultra-luxury hotel rooms, all suites, on the Raffles side, and another 270 rooms, 92 suites, and one presidential suite on the Fairmont side.
Raffles Doha will be the city’s only all-suite hotel. All Raffles guests get personalized butler service during their stay, along with an in-suite boutique and curated book collection. All accommodations also include views of the Doha skyline.
Fairmont, aside from its standard bookings, also offers Fairmont Gold, a hotel-within-a-hotel experience that offers rooms with a separate guest bathroom and a large furnished terrace.
The new opening also includes seven different food and beverage options—four on the Raffles side and three in Fairmont Doha. That includes Raffles Doha’s Alba, the first overseas opening by three-star Michelin Chef Enrico Crippa, and Fairmont’s Masala Library, a new concept by restaurateur, television host, and author Jiggs Kalra.
Raffles also includes Blue Cigar, a lounge that boasts 6,000 literary classics including some first-edition classics as well as a private cigar collection
Outside of food and drink options, Raffles Doha has nine spa and fitness suites, each with its own treatment and equipment including some with private outdoor terraces and plunge pools.
Raffles is also the home of Katara Hall, a meeting and event space that boasts the largest ballroom with daylight in the country, with 22-meter high ceilings.
The hotel is currently open for VIP guests attending the FIFA World Cup and will then welcome reservations after the tournament wraps up in December.
