Club Med is launching a new travel agent rewards program that will allow agents to earn big benefits for both themselves and their clients.
“The best way to sell a product is to experience it, which is why we focused our resources on developing the necessary tools to better prepare our travel partners to sell the Club Med experience,” Vice President of U.S. Sales Michelle Lardizabal said.
The first level, Turquoise, will include agents who make their first sale with Club Med. Agents in this level will get discounted rates for personal bookings, free night stays, resort day passes, access to a local Club Med business development manager, access to Club Med’s travel agent portal, and customizable marketing content.
The second level, Silver, will include agents who rack up 25,000 annual points. Silver agents will get everything in the Turquoise category plus benefits during personal stays including room category upgrades to Club+ level, free parking, 50 percent off premium WiFi, 10 percent off select excursions, and a 15 percent discount on Club Med-branded items.
The third level, Gold, will include agents who amass 75,000 annual points. This level gets agents everything in the previous categories plus room upgrades, advanced notice of fam trips, an invitation to Club Med’s Great Agents Recognitions Awards Ceremony that includes a three-night stay, free premium WiFi on site, $50 resort credit, and priority check-in.
Agents who earn status will also get two chances a year to upgrade their clients’ status to the next member-level along with two free room upgrades per year.
The top level, Platinum, which will include agents who have earned 200,000 total annual points, will get them everything in the previous categories plus an invitation and five-night stay during the annual Great Agents Recognition Awards Ceremony, as well as personal stay benefits including a $100 resort credit, late check out, suite-level upgrades, and priority specialty restaurant reservations.
All agents selling Club Med will be automatically enrolled in the program, and points from all sales made between Nov. 1, 2016 and Oct. 31, 2017 will be rolled into their accounts. Any agents making an initial Club Med booking will be automatically enrolled.
