Travelport’s Search Console Is a Time-Saver for Agents
by Michèle McDonaldTravelport is making it possible for travel agents to customize their searches in real time using its new Search Control Console.
Agents can fine-tune shopping results using more than 35 rules and parameters based on the needs of an individual traveler, producing more relevant results and saving time.
For example, if an agent knows from experience that a particular transit airport provides poor customer experiences, Search Control Console can eliminate it from the search results.
A connection point also can be eliminated for a set period of time if it has been affected by a natural disaster or an airport workers’ strike.
Help meeting sales targets
Agencies can also use the Travelport Search Control Console to achieve financial objectives.
For example, search modifiers within the application can be used to meet airline sales targets.
The web-based solution eliminates the need for labor-intensive “intelligence coding” or for sending instructions and updates to frontline agents.
The Travelport Search Control Console application is available to subscribers of the Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan systems worldwide.
