The Travel Corp. has named a new interim CEO.

Melissa DaSilva, a longtime tour executive who most recently served as President of TTC Tour Brand North America, has been named interim CEO of all of TTC Tour Brands. She is taking over for longtime CEO Gavin Tollman who will leave TTC once the company’s sale closes later this year.

DaSilva has spent more than a decade with TTC brands, including time leading most of the individual brands, including Contiki, Brendan, and Trafalgar. She also headed Luxury Gold’s North American operations during its rebrand last year.

DaSilva will now be tasked with overseeing all of TTC’s brands, which include Trafalgar, Insight, Contiki, Uniworld, and Brendan Vacations. She will also support the search process for a new president for North America.

“I am excited and honored to lead TTC Tour Brands through this important phase in its history. The opportunities ahead for the brands and the talented teams behind them are immense. Together, we will ensure a seamless transition and set a strong foundation for continued success,” said DaSilva.

TTC is currently in the process of being sold to Apollo Private Equity, a sale that was announced this past summer. The deal, which does not include Red Carnation Hotels, will see the company move away from the Tollman family for the first time in its 100-plus-year history.
