InterContinental Hotels Hit By Another Data Breach
by Jessica MontevagoInterContinental Hotels said it’s investigating a second data breach, affecting more than 1,100 hotels in the United States.
IHG said it discovered malware designed to access payment card data from cards used at the front desk at U.S. IHG-branded hotel locations. The data breach occurred for transactions made between Sept. 29, 2016, and Dec. 29, 2016. To find out which properties were impacted, go here.
The hack comes only two months after IHG confirmed payment systems were compromised at 12 hotels in the United States and the Caribbean.
