Abercrombie & Kent Offers Five New Itineraries For 2018
by Kelly HaroldIn 2018 Abercrombie & Kent is offering five new Marco Polo Journey itineraries in Nepal, Tibet, Mongolia and Vietnam, plus Rio’s Carnival and London’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
The Marco Polo Journeys are limited to 18 guests who will experience private museum openings and visit the homes of locals.
The new itineraries are:
Mongolia: Naadam Festival & the Khan Legacy: Explore the Great Wall and the hutongs of Beijing, meet with a Buddhist lama at a monastery in Ulaanbaatar, ride a camel through the dunes of Moltsog and discover the Elsfossil-rich Flaming Cliffs; 12 days from $11,795; departures, July 3-14 or July 8-19, 2018.
Nepal & Tibet: From the Jungle to the Roof of the World: Witness a monks’ discourse at Sera Monastery in Lhasa, go on a safari in Chitwan National Park, learn to cook Nepalese food, explore Nepal in Dulikhel and the Himalayas; 11 days from $6,995; four departures, April 11-21, September 5-15, October 10-20, November 1-11, 2018.
Vietnam: The Spirit of a Nation Revealed: Visit Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, cruise Ha Long Bay, bike through Mai Chau and see Hue’s Imperial Citadel; 12 days from $5,995; four departures, January 16-27, February 21-March 4, October 23-November 3, December 14-25, 2018.
English Gardens & the Hampton Court Flower Show: Visit the garden at Hidcote Manor, take a tour of Sezincote House & Gardens and explore Sudeley Castle’s art collection and the Queens’ Garden; Nine days from $8,995; June 28-July 6, 2018.
Brazil: Soul of Carnival: See a performance of Carnival champions at the Winners’ Parade, cruise Guanabara Bay, experience Salvador’s local music and food and enjoy a performance by the dancers of the Bahia Folklore Company; Eight days from $6,595; February 16-23, 2018.
