Virgin Atlantic is adding some big features to its newest fleet additions. The airline, this week, showcased its first of four new Airbus A33-200s. The first, which Virgin nicknamed “Daydream Believer,” was unveiled at London’s Gatwick Airport on Monday; and is set to be followed by three more, dubbed “Scarlett O’Hara,” “Honky Tonk Woman,” and “Strawberry Fields.”
Among the features in the fleet additions are three new suite types — Love Suites, Freedom Solo Suites, and Corner Solo Suites.
While all of the suites offer direct access to the aisle, each one will provide flyers with something different. Love Suite is designed for couples or groups, giving them enough room to dine and watch movies together. The Solo Corner Suites give passengers extra privacy and guarantee a great view; while the Freedom Solo Suites offer first-class solo space.
Tickets booked will also include a barista-style coffee menu, free WiFi messaging, and an amenity kit that includes Virgin’s “Happy Sox.”
The carrier’s premium economy option will also be offered on the additions later this year.
The planes, which will offer 287 seats and WiFi, will fly from Manchester to three U.S. cities — New York, Boston, and San Franciso; and to Barbados.
