Silversea Cruises will offer free unlimited WiFi to all guests throughout its fleet, starting in April.
Silversea had been offering one free hour of WiFi a day since January 2016, but now all guests will be able to use one device without time restrictions. Guests staying in larger suites, from Silver suites to Owner’s suites, will have unlimited WiFi for up two devices per guest.
Guests making use of free WiFi on single devices will also be able to purchase an upgrade to two devices.
“We know how important it is to catch up on emails or share photos on social media while on vacation,” said Silversea’s Chief Marketing Officer Barbara Muckermann. “Now, with free unlimited WiFi in all suites, our guests can stay as connected as they like while they voyage to the most fascinating places on Earth.”
With the news, Silversea joins another luxury line, Crystal Cruises, that began offering free unlimited WiFi on its entire fleet last April. The newest entry into the luxury cruise market, Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection, also said that it will offer complimentary WiFi when it launches.
