Starting on Jan. 27, 2022, guests arriving at Sandals Royal Bahamian will be greeted by a completely reimagined resort.

Sandals on Wednesday announced plans, which have been in the works for nearly three years, to transform the resort with a multi-millionaire dollar renovation that will see new suites, dining options, and brand-new experiences added to the property.

“From an entirely new village of pastel-colored private villas and Coconut Grove, our innovative new outdoor lounge & entertainment area to our offshore island that has been transformed to a romantic hideaway, every moment, every point of guest touch and experience embodies this beautiful destination.  We can’t wait to welcome guests back to Nassau and to the new Sandals Royal Bahamian,” said SRI Executive Chairman Adam Stewart.

In total, the resort will reopen with over 200 fully renovated rooms and suites and a new Island Village, the pastel-colored village, inspired by the Bahamas, that Stewart mentioned. Suites in the village will each include their own private pool.

In addition to that, the resort is getting a new lounge area called Coconut Grove, a section shaded off by coconut palms that will offer live music and entertainment, along with access to three new food trucks—Sweets n Tings, a coffee and dessert truck; Coco Queen, a seafood truck; and Bahama Mamma Mia, which serves class Italian fare.

Outside of those food trucks, Sandals is introducing five new eateries on-site—a French eatery called La Plume, a British Pub called The Queen’s Pearl, a Caribbean eatery called Kanoo, the Butch’s Island Chop House, and a fresh sushi spot called Soy. In total, between all of the options, guests at the resort will have more than 13 places to eat at.

All guests at Sandals Royal Nassau Bahamian will also have access to The Breakaway, a lounge where those who are checking in before their rooms are ready can relax with a cocktail or freshen up. The lounge is also up in the evening for a traditional conch blowing ritual where guests can enjoy rake and scrape music and Bahamian cocktails.
