Aman Group’s third Caribbean resort, Amancaya, is under construction in Exuma, The Bahamas, a project in partnership with Swiss investor, philanthropist, and sportswoman Dona Bertarelli.
This will be the ultra-luxury hotel brand’s first Bahamas resort. It will feature 36 pavilion accommodations and some branded, serviced residences across two secluded, private cays known for white-sand beaches and diving.
“The introduction of Aman into The Bahamas is a significant milestone for our brand, which has already achieved much success in the Caribbean. As one of the most coveted locations in the destination, Aman guests have long requested our presence there,” said Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group. “Through our collaboration with Dona Bertarelli, we have found an unrivalled setting for exclusivity and natural beauty, and I’m delighted to introduce the Aman lifestyle – from unparalleled service, privacy and transformative experiences – to The Bahamas.”
Amancaya will offer a marina, Beach Club, Aman Spa, and dining options across the two islands. No timeline was given for when the resort will be completed.
The hotel operator promises low density and a high level of privacy at the resort. It is also following sustainability practices aligned with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will achieve LEED certification.
Aman’s existing Caribbean properties are Amanera in Rio San Juan, Dominican Republic, and Amanyara in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. The company also recently returned to its roots with the opening of Aman Nai Lert Bangkok and revealed the name of its new yacht debuting in 2027.
