Dueling Chefs: United and Air France Upgrade the First-Class Menu
Flat-iron steak with grilled broccolini. Duck confit ravioli with mushroom ragout and sautéed asparagus. Those are just some of the “chef-inspired” entrées United Airlines will be offering on its p.s. premium transcontinental flights starting October 25.
The airline’s economy menu is also getting a makeover. New additions include a Southwestern scramble and a bistro bowl with beef, veggies, and steamed rice.
Not to be outdone, the chefs at Air France also have upgraded the menu this week. Business customers on long-haul flights from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris will have original dishes from chef François Adamski, including roast duckling filet with a sweet potato puree, and chicken tajine with vegetable semolina.
