IC Bellagio, the boutique Italy inbound operator headquartered in Bellagio, has partnered with the Altagamma Foundation, which promotes high-end Italian fashion, design, food, beverage, hospitality, jewelry and automotive brands, to offer exclusive behind-the-scenes access to those brands for its guests.
Altagamma Italian Experiences by IC Bellagio, set to debut in 2017, is aimed at increasing the number of luxury travelers to Italy—who accounted for approximately 5% of the more than 50 million foreign tourists who visited the country in 2016. The aim of the program is to present luxury Italian brands as tourist destinations in their own right for their excellence, creativity, handicraft and customer service.
IC Bellagio’s guests will be able to visit workshops, design houses and company headquarters. They can experience wine tasting at world-renowned wineries, as well as meet with Italian entrepreneurs and owners to better understand their projects and growth. The goal is to blend nature, art and culture, as well as to present an opportunity to make direct contact with the production and the design studios that have brought luxury Italian brands to the top of their sectors worldwide.
The project will include Altagamma companies that offer unique experiences, which will be specifically created and customized for the requirements and expectations of each client.
“Altagamma Italian Experiences by IC Bellagio represent an extraordinary possibility of promotion for the entire country, because they bring to life and give value to the renowned quality and fame of our brands,” said Altagamma Foundation vice president Paolo Zegna. “This is an answer to the growing interest from an international clientele toward the heritage and the craftsmanship of our products, two truly distinctive elements of the Italian brand products.”
IC Bellagio has been providing tailor-made travel experiences to Italy since 1999. CEO and founder Andrea Grisdale said the new program targets high-end leisure travelers looking for life-changing experiences in an authentic Italy, and is “a perfect match and one which I am delighted to be able to offer to our clients.”
