Since expanding its itinerary lineup to include one week sailings that pull in a fly-in crowd, Margaritaville at Sea has been strengthening its commitment to the travel trade. Now the line is launching a series of initiatives that seek to reward, engage, and empower travel advisors. This follows on the heels of the line’s expansion of its travel trade team earlier this spring.

“Travel advisors are our backbone, and we’ve been laser-focused on helping them know our people, our story, and the unique appeal of Margaritaville at Sea,” said Ron Gulaskey, senior vice president of sales and trade relations at Margaritaville at Sea. “From improving policies to launching new programs and showing up where it counts, we’re doing the work to help advisors sell one of the most buzzed-about new cruise lines in the U.S.”

Over the past several months, the team at Margaritaville at Sea has been working on forging relationships with travel advisors, rolling out improved tools, and delivering exclusive perks. This has included personalized outreach to more than 300 new accounts, with a strategic focus on top-producing sellers of Caribbean cruises.

Over the next 90 days, Margaritaville at Sea will introduce several enhancements aimed at empowering the trade. These include:

  • Enhanced advisor booking platform: Significant updates to the B2B portal that will deliver greater flexibility and control over reservations, streamlining the booking process from start to sail.
  • Launch of “Changes in Latitude Leadership Cruise” series: This new sailing series offers advisors a chance to engage directly with company leaders, gain exclusive insights, and share feedback while onboard ship.
  • New Booking Incentives: High-performing advisors will enjoy elevated rewards, including complimentary seven-night cruises, as part of a new incentive program designed to reward top sellers.
  • Expanded FAM trip program: FAM-style sailings will provide selected advisors with immersive, first-hand brand experiences to deepen product knowledge.

Margaritaville at Sea’s TradeWins

Simultaneously, Margaritaville at Sea has also completed key components of its new TradeWins program, including:

  • an updated group policy that now has lower group minimums and better tour conductor credits and built-in perks
  • the appointment of a new group and charter operations manager
  • an expanded list of sailings with special advisor rates
  • and ongoing monthly trade webinars.

According to the line, “this wave of new initiatives is just the beginning of a steady stream of improvements for agents in 2025 and beyond.”
