Starting tomorrow, international visitors who are fully vaccinated will be able to travel to the Bahamas and not be tested for COVID-19 before you travel.
The Bahamas starting on May 1 will begin welcoming international visitors with no testing requirements as long as they are fully vaccinated (two weeks out from the final dose of their vaccine) against COVID-19.
All travelers will still be required to upload proof of vaccination on the Bahamas Health Travel Visa, through the Government of the Bahamas website here.
Those who are not yet vaccinated can still travel, but they will be required to provide a negative test taken no more than five days prior to arrival, and rapid antigen testing if their trip is for longer than four nights and five days.
As the Bahamas continues to ease travel restrictions, airlines have also started to ramp up service to the island in anticipation of higher demand.
American Airlines has announced direct flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) beginning June 5, 2021. Frontier Airlines has also announced that direct flights from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Nassau (NAS) starting July 2021.
The Bahamas is one of the countries that was upgraded by the U.S. State Department to Level 4: Do Not Travel earlier this month because of COVID-19 concerns.
