Hyatt Hotels Corporation will debut the first Hyatt-branded hotel in St. Lucia with a new-build luxury resort.
The 345-room Grand Hyatt St. Lucia is expected to open in 2023, in a management agreement with TTS Resorts LTD, and located on the southwestern corner of the island in Sunset Bay, Choiseul.
The property will feature more than 50 luxury suites, three restaurants, a lobby lounge, pool bar and beach-side bar. The grounds will also house three swimming pools and an 8,000 square foot destination spa and fitness center. Additional offerings and amenities will include a kid’s club and activity center, retails shops and a screening room.
Hyatt said the property is “expected to provide both leisure and business guests with superior service within a multicultural backdrop of dramatic architecture, innovative restaurants, luxury spa and wellbeing facilities and sophisticated meeting spaces.”
The resort will encompass two hilltops boasting a view of St. Lucia’s two volcanic spires, Gros Piton and Petit Piton. The designated World Heritage Site will be less than 30 miles from Grand Hyatt St. Lucia, positioning the resort as an ideal starting point for excursions, tours, scuba diving, and more.
The announcement marks Hyatt’s continued brand growth into the Caribbean. Grand Hyatt St. Lucia follows a significant planned expansion of the Hyatt brand footprint in the region, including Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Hotel & Residences, Andaz Turks & Caicos, Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico in Puerto Rico, and Hyatt Place Santo Domingo Piantini in the Dominican Republic.
