Hawaii’s Montage Kapalua Bay will begin welcoming guests back to its 24-acre haven beginning Aug. 1.
The luxury resort is set along the picturesque waters of Namalu Bay on the northwestern edge of Maui. Each of the 50 residential-style, multi-bedroom suites have separate living and dining rooms, a full gourmet kitchen, laundry facilities, and walk-in closets.
Montage International has put in place a Health & Safety protocol program, which includes the use of electrostatic sprayers, UV wands and devices, and particulate level air filtration systems.
Seating capacity will be reduced at the property’s signature restaurant, Cane & Canoe, casual dinner venue The Hideaway, and Hana Hou Bar.
The Spa Montage Kapalua Bay will be open with limited capacity to offer a new state-of-the-art fitness center and an array of authentic, restorative treatments, such as the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi in an outdoor Hale. Steam rooms, saunas, and plunge pools will be temporarily closed.
Registration cards, credit card devices, room keys, and pens will be sanitized with a UV wand prior to being provided to guests, and contactless Bell Services available for delivery and retrieval of luggage.
The brand has also partnered with One Medical, a national digital health and primary care organization, to offer 24/7 virtual care services. Montage Kapalua Bay guests will be offered a complimentary 30-day membership to One Medical’s full suite of digital health services, while resort associates receive an annual membership.
Cancellation fees will be waived up to 48-hours prior to arrival.
The Aug. 1 reopening coincides with the state’s launch of the COVID-19 passenger testing program that will allow out-of-state visitors bypass the 14-day quarantine. Hawaiian Airlines and Southwest will resume service that date as well.
