Marriott To Lay Off 163 Employees At Starwood HQ
by Jessica MontevagoMarriott International is planning to lay off dozens of Starwood Hotel & Resorts employees at the end of the year, according to paperwork filed with the Connecticut Department of Labor.
Starwood’s Stamford-based headquarters will lose 163 employees during the first two weeks of January, the DOL reports.
Marriott finalized its $13 billion acquisition of Starwood in September, creating the world’s largest hotel company. It said at the time that it will maintain its headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
