Emirates is adding a second Florida city to its route network next month.
Starting on July 22, Emirates will fly four-times-weekly, non-stop service between Miami and Dubai, giving it another Florida city on its schedule after Orlando, which also will see service start in July.
The additional service expands Emirates’ U.S. network to 12 cities and over 70 weekly flights offering 26,000 seats including service to Boston, Chicago, New York JFK, Newark, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, D.C., and the new Florida service.
According to Emirates chairman and chief executive, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the new Miami non-stops signals the carrier’s confidence in the industry’s recovery.
“Launching a non-stop service to Miami at this time signals our confidence in travel recovery as countries progress on their vaccination programs and implement protocols for the safe resumption of flight and travel activity, particularly in the US and the UAE,” he said.
“There is a clear demand for this service from both leisure and business travelers and we anticipate that our new route will be warmly received across our global network, as well as by travelers in Southern Florida, South America, and the Caribbean who can conveniently access Dubai and our wider network via Miami’s many air service connections,” he added.
The flights will include eight private suites in first class, 42 lie-flat seats in business class, and 304 seats in economy class.
