Expedia Group’s Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) is hosting several events across the world in honor of Global Travel Advisor Day, including in the U.S. and Canada.

At the exclusive lunch and dinner gatherings, Expedia TAAP will show appreciation for its travel advisor partners and update them on enhancements to its booking platform and new products.

“Global Travel Advisor Day is an opportunity for Expedia Group to celebrate and support travel advisors worldwide,” said Robin Lawther, vice president of Expedia TAAP. “With today’s announcement, we’re reinforcing our commitment by expanding into new markets and launching initiatives that help advisors attract customers, personalize experiences, and grow their businesses. By investing in tools that improve cash flow management and create new revenue opportunities, we’re empowering them to thrive in an evolving industry.”

Expedia TAAP has announced that U.S. advisors can now book Southwest flights through its platform, giving them an expanded ability to search, compare, and book flights.

The program is also now offering more flexible payment options and ways to maximize earnings by introducing an agency service charge that adds discretionary fees to lodging bookings. And, while Expedia TAAP already offers deferred payments, it will now allow advisors to book accommodations up to 365 days in advance and make post-booking itinerary changes.
