Travel Employing More People Than Ever
The travel industry added 13,400 jobs in July, reaching a new record high of over 8.1 million, according to the Labor Department. The industry has added jobs in 17 of the last 20 months and more than 50,000 so far this year. Since the employment recovery began about six years ago, job growth in travel has outpaced all other industries by 32%.
