Here Are the Cruise Wave Season Promotions for 2024

Wave season is just around the corner and cruise lines are starting to release details of their promotions.

Here are all the offers we know about so far:

AmaWaterways
From now through March 31, 2024, river cruisers can save up to $2,000 per stateroom, and receive a complimentary stateroom upgrade and $50 onboard credit per stateroom on select July or August 2024 seven-, 10- , and 11-night Europe river cruises. Travelers opting for a 14-night Europe river cruise in July or August 2024 will save $4,000 per stateroom, and get a complimentary stateroom upgrade and $100 onboard credit per stateroom. The offer is combinable with AmaWaterways’ loyalty benefits and future cruise benefit program. It can also be combined with the line’s AirPlus fixed-price airfare offer.

American Cruise Lines
ACL is offering Wave Season savings on select 2024 Historic Mississippi River Cruises, roundtrip from New Orleans. Guests can save up to $1,500 and receive free domestic air.

Aurora Expeditions
Adventurous cruisers can save on bucket list-style journeys to Antarctica, the Arctic, and beyond with up to 20% off on select voyages and air credits. Bookings must be made before March 31.

Azamara
Azamara is getting a super early jump on Wave Season, giving travelers up to $2,000 off per stateroom on select sailings between April 1 and Dec. 31, 2024, when they book between Dec. 11, 2023 and March 21, 2024.

Celebrity Cruises
Now through April 7, cruisers can enjoy 75% off their second guest’s cruise fare on non-refundable deposit rates or 50% off their second guest on refundable deposit rates. Plus, guests can save up to an additional $200 per cabin on select dates. The offers is applicable on most cruises sailing now through April 30, 2026.

French Country Waterways
This Wave Season, guests booking a stateroom on the 12-passenger Nenuphar canal barge can enjoy savings of 25% off the regular fare on select April 2024 Champagne departures.

Hurtigruten
Hurtigruten (Norway) is offering discounts of up to $4,000 off per person, plus giving travel advisors the chance to sail for free if they sell three cruises between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2024. All three of the line’s most popular products (Original Coastal Express, Svalbard Express, and North Cape Express) are included in the promotion. The Svalbard Express is up to $4,000 off for sailings May through Sept. 2024, while the North Cape Express is up to $3,000 off for departures between Dec. 2024 and April 2025. On the Original Coastal Express, savings are up to $2,000 for sailings between April and Dec. 2024. All trips must be booked by March 31, 2024.  

HX
This Wave Season HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) is offering a BOGO promotion on all April 27 to Sept. 25, 2024 Galapagos sailings, and up to 40% off on most other sailings (2024 and 2025) for bookings made by March 31, 2024. 

HX is also giving travelers up to $2,000 per person in flight credits for all HX voyages from March 29, 2024 to March 30, 2025. Bookings must be made between Dec. 20, 2023 and March 31, 2024. The air credit is applies as a discount and does

Ponant
For this year’s Wave Season, Ponant is offering free airfare from U.S. gateways on a selection 2024 Alaska voyages. 

Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Between now and April 30, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is offering the “Upgrade & Explore More” promotion, giving cruisers a free two-category suite upgrade – up to a Penthouse Suite (Category A) – on select cruises departing between May 2024 and November 2026. On top of that, the line is offering up to $500 shipboard credit per suite. 

Riviera River Cruises
Through the end of March, Riviera River Cruises is offering discounts of up to $700 per person on 2024 and 2025 European river cruise departures, as well as a gift card incentive for travel advisors. The discount is $400 per person on eight-day cruises, including on exclusive departures for solo travelers, and $700 per person on 11- to 15-day cruises. For every cabin booked, travel advisors will receive a $100 gift card. All bookings must be deposited by March. 31, 2024.

Scenic Group: Scenic Luxury Cruises & Emerald Cruises
This Wave Season, Scenic and Emerald Cruises are offering “suite” savings of up to $4,250 per suite ($3,750 on Emerald) on select European and Southeast Asia river products and up to $13,000 ($5,000 on Emerald) on select ocean sailings. Free single supplements are also available on select sailings. Savings kick off on Dec. 18, 2023 and run through March 31, 2024 for new 2024 and 2025 bookings. Full payment is required within 30 days of booking (14 days for departures less than six months away).

Star Clippers
Cruisers booking a select sailing onboard Star Clipper or Star Flyer will receive $240 in air credits per person, and $200 onboard credit per cabin. Booking select sailings onboard Royal Clipper comes with $124 in air credits, along with the $200 per cabin onboard credit. (Air credit can be used to purchase flights with Star Clippers or can be used as a discount off the cruise fare.) The 2024 Wave Season offer is good on more than 90 sailings through Oct. 2025, and bookings must be made by March 31, 2024.
