American Airlines is adding more warm-weather routes out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) for next winter, doubling its capacity to sun destinations from the hub.
In total, American is adding five new destinations to the 11 it already serves in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America out of O’Hare: Curaçao (CUR); St. Croix (STX); St. Maarten (SXM); Guatemala City (GUA); and San José, Costa Rica (SJO).
The airline will fly St. Maarten service weekly on Saturdays starting Nov. 8; Curaçao and St. Croix service weekly on Saturdays starting Dec. 6; Guatemala City service three times weekly starting Dec. 6; and San José service daily starting Nov. 2.
The new flights join American’s already announced daily service to St. Thomas (STT); Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (GCM); Aruba (AUA); and Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR).
In addition, American recently announced more service into Cancun (CUN) from Oklahoma City (OKC) and to Punta Cana (PUJ) from Indianapolis (IND), Nashville (BNA), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU).
