American Airlines is expanding its service to some warm-weather destinations.

Starting this November, American will add flights to both Cancun (CUN) and Punta Cana (PUJ) from several U.S. cities.

Beginning Nov. 8, American will fly from Oklahoma City (OKC) to Cancun every Saturday, becoming the only carrier to connect the two cities directly. American will operate the service on a Boeing 737.

The route gives American 40 total peak-day flights to Cancun from 19 destinations.

On Dec. 6, American will add flights to Punta Cana from Indianapolis (IND), Nashville (BNA), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU). American will operate all those flights weekly on a Boeing 737.

The additions will give American 20 peak-day departures from 11 U.S. cities to Punta Cana.

This week, American also announced it is adding another flight to Hawaii with new seasonal service from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) on the Island of Hawaii.
