The Travel Corporation (TTC) has announced the permanent appointment of Simon Jones as Chief Executive Officer, and Melissa DaSilva as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, TTC Tour Brands, following DaSilva’s tenure as Interim CEO since October 2024.

Jones joins TTC from Away Resorts, where he successfully led a turnaround of the business through to a recent financial restructuring. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of Premier Inn and Restaurants, overseeing a team of 33,000 employees across 1,300 operating units.

The Travel Corporation said the appointment of Jones brings significant relevant experience to TTC “at a pivotal time in the company’s growth journey.”

DaSilva will have expanded role as Deputy CEO, where she will continue to oversee all source markets and play a key leadership role for TTC Tour Brands. Previously, DaSilva was President of TTC Tour Brands for North America, with increased productivity and record profits achieved during her tenure.

“Melissa has been an exemplary leader throughout her interim appointment, guiding the Touring division with clarity and vision,” said Carl Leaver, Chairman of TTC. “Her permanent appointment reflects her outstanding contribution and the value she brings to the business. We’re also delighted to welcome Simon, whose directly aligned experience will be instrumental in driving the next phase of TTC’s success,” Leaver added.

DaSilva commented: “I am honoured to continue serving TTC in my new role as Deputy CEO, Touring. I look forward to partnering with Simon and our dedicated team as we build on our achievements and drive forward innovative strategies for future growth.”

Simon Jones stated: “I am tremendously excited to be joining The Travel Corporation as the CEO of Touring. The Travel Corporation has an incredible track record of growth, delivering world-class travel experiences across a diverse range of brands and markets, backed by a clear commitment to be a responsible leader within travel.”
