Marriott Takeover Of Starwood Expected This Month

Marriott International only needs China’s antitrust authorization from China before finalizing its acquitision of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.   

Antitrust agencies from Saudi Arabia and Mexico both approved the merger Monday.

Marriott “will be prepared to close the transaction promptly” once receiving clearence from the Chinese regulatory agency (MOFCOM), which is expected to take place later this month.
