5 London Boutique Hotels Your Clients Will Love

London is a city brimming with independent, boutique hotels that will “wow” your clients with their art and architecture, restaurants, and personalized service. Here are just a few suggestions for the next London trip you book.

The Kensington
Guests are transported into a bygone era when they enter this Victorian-style hotel, complete with high ceilings, heritage décor and open fireplaces. Still, The Kensington displays bright, contemporary design in its 150 guest rooms and suites.

The hotel’s “Cozy” rooms are suitable for solo travelers, while its spacious suites offer four-poster beds, free-standing tubs, Waterford crystal chandeliers, and balconies. Dining venues include the Town House restaurant and K Bar.

The Kensington is aptly located in the South Kensington area, near the the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The Beaumont
Nestled in London’s Mayfair neighborhood, The Beaumont has been a stylish beacon of luxe accommodations since its opening in 2014 – and especially since an expansion in 2021 added its first-floor Mayfair Suite, outdoor terrace overlooking Brown Hart Gardens, and 30-seat Le Magritte Bar.

The hotel’s wining and dining options also include the refurbished Colony Grill for lunch and dinner, Gatsby’s Room for afternoon tea and champagne, and complimentary mini bars in every room. The Beaumont also offers a spa with four treatment rooms and space for private dining and events.

Unique decor and architecture are The Beaumont’s bread and butter, and they help keep the cozy and intimate vibe. The hotel has several different rooms, suites, and studios available – notably, there are exactly three extra-special suites: the Terrace, the Roosevelt, and ROOM by Antony Gormley, a cave-like experience designed for good sleep inside a wonder of abstract architecture and wood-paneled walls.

The Londoner
At 350 rooms, The Londoner is not too big and not too small of a property; the “super boutique hotel” offers plenty of chic bars and event spaces, including the elegant lobby bar accented by The Stage. Just one floor up is the quiet, cozy The Residence for guests only to enjoy complimentary small bites and beverages.

The Londoner features the main restaurant, Whitcomb’s, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; 8 at The Londoner, the rooftop lounge; the Y Bar; a whiskey bar; Joshua’s Tavern; and the courtyard. The hotel’s event spaces, including The Ballroom and The Green Room, are spacious yet feel intimate and exclusive. The hotel also offers a sizable gym, pool, and spa.

Situated right in the center of West End London at Leicester Square, The Londoner is in a lively, walkable area and a short distance to tourist sites, such as Buckingham Palace, and several major London neighborhoods, including Chinatown and Covent Garden.

L’oscar London
Opened in 2022, this boutique hotel from Michel Reybier Hospitality holds lots of history sitting on the former headquarters of the Baptist Church. Famed French designer Jacques Garcia, who is behind several iconic Paris hotels, redesigned the building to have a distinct non-English feel.

The property offers 26 rooms and 13 suites, including the dog-friendly Oscar Suite. All rooms have complimentary WiFi, a desk, yoga rooms, and connecting room options. For dining, there is L’oscar Restaurant, which was inspired by the world’s oldest cafe in Venice.

Raouf Finan, the CEO of Michel Reybier Hospitality, told TMR in 2022 that L’oscar London appeals to guests who want a unique hotel experience close to key London attractions such as the British Museum.

The Franklin
Elegance abounds at The Franklin, a top-rated Small Luxury Hotel of the World. Its interior is classic yet modern, blending 1920s and contemporary design. The hotel takes its service seriously with the Les Clefs d’Or concierges.

Spanning five stories and 35 rooms, The Franklin has several room categories available, from the single room, which sleeps two, up to the presidential suite, which sleeps three. It also notably features The Franklin Restaurant by Michelin-star chef Alfredo Russo.

The Franklin Bar has an extensive cocktail list and a chic, Gatsby-esque atmosphere with mirrored walls. The pet-friendly hotel also offers a spa with a sauna, a fitness studio, and meeting rooms.
