The Israel Ministry of Tourism has named Yoram Elgrabli as tourism commissioner for North America. In this role, he will oversee all business partnerships and developments, marketing strategy, and public relations efforts across the U.S. and Canada. Part of his mandate is to help travel to Israel recover by positioning the country as a top destination for travelers.
“I am excited and deeply honored to begin my new role as the North America Commissioner for the Israel Ministry of Tourism at such a pivotal moment,” said Elgrabli. “With American and Canadian legacy airlines announcing the resumption of flights to Tel Aviv, and Israel looking ahead with optimism and hope for the future, I am committed to strengthening the connection between North America and Israel.”
Elgrabli joins IMOT with over 20 years of experience working for El Al Israel Airlines. In his most recent role as the general manager of North & Central America, he led marketing, sales and operations. Since 2002, Elgrabli has served in numerous roles within the company including the role of chief of staff, sales and customers division. He later served as managing director in Western Europe.
Under Elgrabli’s leadership, El Al achieved significant revenue increases over the last four years and during his tenure, he opened four new destinations in North America and expanded five others while cultivating El Al’s customer loyalty program to generate significant membership growth.
