Abu Dhabi Port Opens Cruise Terminal
MSC Cruises will be the first major cruise line to homeport a ship at the first dedicated cruise terminal in Abu Dhabi Port, which opened Monday.
The new terminal has space for three cruise ships with 5,000 passengers each, plus check-in desks for Etihad Airways. In 2014-2015, the city welcomed 200,407 passengers through the port; with the new terminal, that number is expected to increase to 255,000 in 2016-2017.
