John C. Munro International Airport
Travellers in the Niagara Region and Hamilton surrounding areas will have more travel options this summer from John C Munro Hamilton International Airport, as the airport undergoes a multi-million-dollar terminal enhancement project and adds flights from Porter Airlines.
Under its new campaign #TravelRefreshed, the airport is “preparing for a new era in convenient travel from curb to gate.”
“We’re looking forward to an exciting summer ahead at Hamilton International as we welcome Porter Airlines and complete significant upgrades to our terminal building,” says Cole Horncastle, Executive Managing Director of Hamilton International.
“These strategic efforts are part of our ongoing commitment to providing travellers with greater choice and connectivity to and from the region, while ensuring every step of the passenger journey is seamless and enjoyable.
Work on the multi-million-dollar terminal enhancement project has begun and will be unveiled in June. Enhancements include updated exterior frontage with canopies to improve curbside flow; refreshed interior spaces from checking to screening, to lounges and baggage claim; architectural elements inspired by the area’s geography and new digital signage and lighting throughout.
Future improvements will include passenger jet bridges to connect the terminal to aircraft, a first for Hamilton International, and additional terminal upgrades for future expansion to support expected air traffic growth.
Travellers can currently take advantage of a special parking discount of up to 30% off when booked through www.parking.flyhamilton.ca for travel between now and June 11, 2025.
“We’re thrilled about the future of air travel at Hamilton International and cannot wait to welcome passengers to #TravelRefreshed in just a few short months!” added Horncastle.
