Luxury travel advisors now have a powerful new ally in their corner: artificial intelligence. Global Travel Collection, the high-end division of Internova Travel Group, has officially launched Atlas, a generative AI platform designed to streamline the intricate, time-consuming workflows of luxury trip planning.
Built in partnership with Microsoft using Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio, Atlas is already making waves: GTC projects the platform will reclaim over 1.5 million hours of advisor time annually across its network of more than 1,500 travel experts.
Atlas offers an unprecedented upgrade for advisors managing elaborate itineraries spanning multiple booking systems across airlines, hotels, and entertainment. The secure, scalable platform gives real-time, natural language responses, meaning advisors can query their entire tech stack in seconds instead of toggling between fragmented tools.
“When I joined GTC, I quickly recognized an opportunity to bring stronger alignment across our data and platforms,” said Casey Soto, senior director of product management at Global Travel Collection. “We knew that by unifying our systems through AI, we could not only streamline our workflows but elevate the advisor experience and enhance the exceptional service we deliver to clients.”
Atlas integrates across GTC’s systems with enterprise-level security that meets strict GDPR and PCI compliance standards. That’s a major differentiator, noted GTC SVP and CIO Mark Munley, who emphasized the importance of security when managing sensitive traveler data globally.
The early results speak for themselves: GTC reports that Atlas is cutting trip planning time by up to three hours per itinerary. “What used to take 10 to 15 minutes per query now takes seconds,” said David Waldes, a longtime GTC advisor working with Tzell Travel Group. “Atlas spiders through our systems and delivers insights instantly.”
Looking ahead, GTC sees the platform as a foundation for growth rather than a replacement for advisors. President Angie Licea stressed that Atlas enhances, rather than replaces, the human touch. “This is just the beginning. Atlas proves that AI can empower, not replace, human expertise,” she said.
