Luxury adventure tour operator Abercrombie & Kent is launching two new journeys this summer that showcase the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum.

Tourism demand for Egypt is on the rise, thanks in part to the museum’s official opening, scheduled for July 3, 2025. To meet the increased demand, A&K is expanding their offerings in the region with added departures as well as two new itineraries.

The luxury tour operator has also added five new dates for its Egypt in a Week itinerary, across September, November, and December. This itinerary was launched in 2025, and includes four nights along the Nile River aboard the Sun Boat IV.

Back in April, A&K also announced a new holiday itinerary for winter 2025: A Nile Cruise for the Holiday Season. Departing on Dec. 20, this 10-day vacation includes the pyramids and the Great Sphinx, a private viewing of Wahtye Tomb at Sakkara, and a four-night Nile River cruise aboard an exclusive charter of Sun Boat III. Guests will also enjoy a guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum with an expert Egyptologist.

A&K has also added the new tour, Egypt and the Nile with Exclusive VIP Experience (Oct. 25 to Nov. 3). This 10-day journey invites guests to experience Egypt as a special guest of Amr Badr, senior vice president of A&K Egypt and the Middle East. The itinerary includes a four-day Nile cruise, an added exclusive event hosted by Badr, as well as visits to the tombs of Tutankhamun, Nefertari and Seti I and an up-close look at the Great Sphinx’s paws.

In total, A&K is offering six small group journeys in Egypt as well as private, tailor-made travel options.

“With the highly anticipated official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum this summer, we are excited to introduce our guests to this extraordinary cultural landmark,” said Suzanne Teng, A&K’s director of global group product. “We’ve expanded our offering of small group journeys to provide guests with a variety of ways to explore Egypt – and the museum’s breathtaking collections – all while enjoying the exceptional service A&K is known for.”
